Collection Service

Participating merchants may turn over to our MCB office checks returned by the banks and which are still outstanding. The pertinent information is entered into the computer data-base that very day. MCB's system will produce an acknowledgement of all returned checks from each consumer. After entry into the system, merchants are notified of the NSF condition on all subsequent accesses to MCB's verification system until payment is made.

Checks not honored after the first notice will automatically be contacted by telephone.

Checks collected are remitted to the merchant at full face value on the 15th of each month. If checks become uncollectible all necessary documents are returned to the merchants.
